Afghanistan surpasses Vietnam as longest U.S. Military campaign.

Afghanistan is seeing escalating violence, with June being the bloodiest month for foreign troops since the start of the war. Senator Kerry highlighted the fact that the military campaign surpassed Vietnam as the longest in U.S. history, during a meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee. And as congress assesses the grim statistics, the unpopular war is showing few signs of ending.

You know if the politicians would just get out of the way and quit tying the hands of the military this would be over in a hurry. Just like Vietnam, they put in all these restrictions like who you can and cannot kill and when you can and cannot fire your weapon. Its war, its not supposed to be nice. There should be a constitutional amendment for the politicians to keep their hands off the war once they approve it.
