Well, freedom is not the Antichrist. Hate for it is. Freedom isn't capitalism either. Freedom is being able to do just what Jesus would do...freely, free of a system that makes giving difficult and taking easy. In the sense that it gives people a sense of insecurity and overmaterialistic, hoarding ambitions, this "capitalist" system is Antichrist. It's not "coming"; it's now.

Sometimes I wish Jesus did show up, just to finally explain which one of the 38,000 denominations got it right. My guess - they all got it wrong.

Please explain to me why the Western ideal of freedom is so repugnant to Jesus's teachings? Maybe its that whole freedom of religion part, which is, after all, in direct violation of the first commandment.

Or, it's possibly leading it elsewhere. It could be leading it to question it's own legitimacy and the falseness of a materialistic emphasis. Balance is required for it to work.
