There seems to be a conspiracy throughout Europe to remove the Christian symbols in secular public places. But when it happens in Rome the very seat of the Catholic church you know it is serious.

Personally, I am a strong believer in the separation of church and State. I believe this is particularly important in classrooms where you are likely to have students of different faiths. A Muslim, Hindu or Jewish parent would not want their child exposed to symbols of a religion they are not in agreement with.


But still, a conspiracy is a conspiracy. Even one I am in agreement with.
