$787 B Stimulus Package

I have heard people say that only a very small percentage of the stimulus package has actually been spent. I had then hear, via some state politicians, that the reason the government doesn't talk about that is because it went to pay down some of our debt with China.

I can see this happening. With the collapse of our economy and housing market, I have to believe the Chinese were getting nervous and leery of us defaulting and possibly going into bankruptcy ourselves. The only option we had was to send them a little "goodwill" cash.

Has anybody heard anything in relation to this subject?

There is less than half of it left. I doubt the Chinese will be impressed if we hand them a bunch of cash that we just printed out of thin air. Maybe they should just print another trillion or so and pay off the Chinese completely. That is genius. Me for El Presidente!

Exactly what I was thinking, why would anyone even in a drug induced daze accept USD's .... it's just useless paper!
