TSA to Block "Controversial Opinion" on the Web

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is blocking certain websites from the federal agency's computers, including halting access by staffers to any Internet pages that contain a "controversial opinion," according to an internal email obtained by CBS News.

How long it will be before big sis wants to block controversial web sites from being viewed by everybody - at home
I guess that means 0bama will be censored?
The First Requirement of security is information. By blocking access to information Big Sis is hamstringing her own people.

Nothing to really see here, the Government is cracking down on employees who spend more time surfing then the do working.

I would agree with you on this. Where I work, they are doing the same thing. A lot of the just for fun sites are systematically being blocked to keep people more productive.
Internet usage for business purposes is more often than not abused and there have been a multitude of studies about how much time people waste at work, on the clock, surfing social, personal, entertainment, pornographic and more types of sites that have nothing to do with the job they are being paid for.
My kneejerk reaction would be one of insuring that TSA agents are paying attention to their jobs and less time on YouTube.

How are they defining controversial?

Anything they don't agree with perhaps?
