Large unknown "dark spot" in the gulf?

www.greenpeace.org

Satellite imagery of oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The white dots indicate oil rigs/platforms. The dark streaks indicate oil slicks. The nature of the large dark spot on the lower right-hand side is unknown.

I have no idea what to think of this folks.

This is a conspiracy site after all, so I'm all ears to this supposed anomalous dark spot captured in a satellite image from greenpeace.

wth is going on? I'm not a doom and gloomer, so someone please point out why this image from greenpeace is faked or is a hoax or is from the wrong spill. All the creepy silence on the spill is starting to get to me.

I'm guessing this was to point out everyday leaking of the oil rigs in the gulf, that went.. by most.. unnoticed?

Perhaps?

As far as I can tell, this image is showing the oil spills caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Nothing to do with the current oil spill.
