Japanese company plans to use the Moon to power Earth

According to www.treehugger.com, Japanese scientists are working on a plan to turn the Moon into an "anti-Death Star", cladding it in solar panels and trasnsmitting the energy to the Earth via electromagnetic radiation. Science fiction? Perhaps not. It might actually work...

lol, yes, it's damn annoying! Every time I come over some kind of groundbreaking news, I do a quick search using the search function, and joyfully I post my news, but then in a few minutes someone tells me it's been posted before. Terrible search function on this board.
