Twisted Scriptures: Mary mother of Jesus

2 Peter 3:15-17 (New King James Version)

15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;

Yes, the Scriptures are indeed twisted to fit the agendas of various religions. As I have stated before, religion was created by man under the influence of the Antichrist spirit as a way of working ones self into Heaven. Cain brought an offering from the works of his hands in rebellion to the instruction of the Lord. Cain had been possessed by Satan who encouraged his rage and frustration which drove him to murder and then to lie about doing it. When Cain went out into the world and built a city and started a civilization he brought with him the corrupted knowledge of the serpent. This corrupted knowledge spread all about the world and the result was various types of religion.

Catholicism is a religion outside of Christianity. All religions are outside of true Christianity. God has made a way for us to enter into relationship with Him so that we might get to know each other. God has always wanted that relationship and it is the reason He created humanity to begin with.

The cornerstone of any religion is a lie which is tightly wrapped around more lies and sprinkled with a dash of truth to make it sound and look appealing. If a lie is not believable then it will not prosper. There is no greater way to propagate a lie then to associate it with Jesus Christ. Jesus told us that many false Christs would arise and deceive many. This does not necessarily mean that many men would rise claiming to be Christ themselves but that many false versions of the truth would become very popular and lead many astray.

One of the greatest Catholic lies is that the mother of Jesus was always a virgin until her death. There is simply no Scriptural evidence at all for this belief... unless you take the word of untaught and unstable people who have twisted up a lie.

Matthew 1:24-25 (New King James Version)

24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, 25 and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son.[a] And he called His name JESUS.

He did not "know" her until Jesus was born. We all know good and well that to "know" a woman was to make love to her. Mary was his wife and to even contemplate that a Jewish wife would not "know" her husband shows how little they understood Jewish people. As if this Scripture is not enough we can go on with the following...

Matthew 12:46 (New King James Version)

46 While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him.

His mother and his brothers. It does not say that His mother and his half brothers came to speak with Him or that His mother and His stepbrothers came to speak with Him does it? Jesus had biological brothers from His mother Mary!

Matthew 13:55 (New King James Version)

55 Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses,[a] Simon, and Judas?

Jesus had at least four brothers and here they are associated with His mother Mary. Is it not clear that Jesus had brothers who were born from His mother Mary?

Mark 6:3
Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him.

Jesus had sisters also because Jewish people had large families!

Catholics who defend their faith in a Virgin Mother do so by defending their Church and not in defense of the Scriptures. It simply is not true that Mary was always a virgin, and that's the bottom line.

Now, lets investigate the Scripture that gets the most twisting and manipulation from Catholics.

John 19:25-27

25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” 27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.



People and various other things can represent certain other things in Scripture. The serpent represents sin and the dove represents the Holy Spirit just like Moses represented Jesus and John the Baptist was representative of Elijah.

In your typical family you will always find a Father and a Mother and a Child. We know God as being a Holy Trinity. God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Think about how God first revealed Himself as a disciplinarian who laid down the law and showed His children the tough love they needed to get them to where they needed to be. Now think about how Jesus came in the image of His Father and how He revealed to us Gods nature. Now, consider the fact that we know the Holy Spirit as our Comforter and Confidant.

When a Father disciplines His child that child can always find comfort in his/her mothers arms because a mother can not stand to see their baby cry. The mother kisses the wounds and heals the spirit when her child is hurt or is sad.

Mary is representative of the mothering nature of the Holy Spirit in this passage of Scripture. John was the disciple whom Jesus loved and He had a closer relationship with John then He had with the others. John is representative of a people who love Jesus with a genuine love and who seek a relationship with Him. These are the people who would lean back against Him at the supper table and always be at His side.

The Holy Spirit is the gift of God. This gift comes through relationship with Jesus Christ and just as John took her into his own home we who receive the gift of the Holy Spirit take her into our own homes. This Scripture is not evidence that Jesus had no other siblings who could care for His mother. The fact of the matter is that His siblings did not believe that He was the Christ until well after His ascension.

An unbeliever can never receive the gift of the Holy Ghost!

What Catholicism has done is taken the image of the mother of Christ and paganized it. Its that simple. No matter how many changes Catholicism may make to the Scriptures the truth has always been that idol worship is sin. Thou shall not make for yourselves any carved image... hello Catholics... WAKE UP!

Religion is what blinded the Pharisees and religion is what blinds the Catholic leaders and they are blind leaders of the blind! Mary was a great woman and she was a blessed woman but all she is now is a dead woman who cannot pray for you and who cannot hear you!

There has been one name given unto men to be saved and it is not Mary! Its Jesus!

Catholicism is just like any other religion; it is paganism dressed up to look pretty.

So often you hear of the diverse beliefs of supposed Christians. Alot of them warp their beliefs to either suite them or their lifestyles.

Catholics IMO do this to the worst extent. This issue has always ammused me as there teachings are in direct controdiction to the Word of God. and it is because of this and many other christian sects that we humble believers receive negetive attention..

Its true what they say - at times people most responsible for chasing other away from God are Christians themselves.
