The Thai government said on Wednesday it would cut
off water, electricity and food deliveries to the neighborhood in
Bangkok where anti-government protesters are camped out.
The government also said it would cut off phone service to the
area and public transport as part of its effort to “close down”
the protest. It remained unclear how the orders, which are
effective at midnight Wednesday, will be implemented, given
the high-rise offices and apartment buildings in the area.
