45 minutes ago Gordon Brown officially resigned as Prime Minister of the UK. David Cameron to take over as PM. He is currently having an audience with the Queen. This is just breaking, I have no other information on the matter.

I used the CNN link as a place holder until an article can be found.

I don't know how much more I have to put down before I can post this article.

This just now happened, this isn't Gordon announcing his resignation in September.

living in the UK we do get breaking news here. we have many channels the bbc is just one of them, we dont relly on CNN for our news.

We have kind of a time delay here in the States as far as getting international news is concerned. So for us it is breaking. No need to gripe..
