Slayer,
I think you have found the reasons why baptists'
don't allow secular music and dancing.
I don't believe the mods would ever listen to
polka music and do the chicken dance. But,if
they did, videotapes would be a great bargaining
tool for future use.

In all seriousness
I was able after hundreds of years able to uncover a video that shows EXACTLY what happens after people click the DREADED alert button.

That video reminds me of my first driving lesson!
We all know what happens when you hit the alert button,
you have 5 minutes to disarm the self-destruct feature.

That U-tube link Hellmut contributed on the first page was absolutley hilarious, and equally disturbing.

sounded like a teething baby immitating walrus mating calls with a mouthful of marshmellows.

It isn't hard to join the mod squad. Here are the rules:

1. Being a man, freeborn, of good repute and well-recommended;
2. To be one you must ask one
3. A belief in a Supreme Being;
4. Ability to support one's self and family;
5. Of lawful age; and
6. Come to Freemasonry of their "own free will and accord".

Now that some of y'all have had your fun, allow me to explain the process of finding moderators.

First, all mods come from the pool of members.
Every so often, as we grow or as some of our current staff feel the need for a break from their moderating duties, we begin discussions on adding/replacing moderators. The admins are alerted to the need for new staff and then, behind closed doors, the admins and owners run the moderator suggestion software which is a proprietary software designed by a group of former government hackers. This software will give the admins and owners a list of anywhere from 3 to 10 names. The admins and owners then scan the posting activity of these members to ensure that MOSA (MOderator Selection Algorithms - the software) didn't make any mistakes. Then, we turn the entire file over to some friends at a remote location that I cannot divulge. These friends work for a group within the government. Well, not within the government. They're more like the guys behind the guys. They've got the ear of everyone and nothing gets done without their stamp of approval. We're not keen on it but this is the protocol we were told to follow when the Gov't gave us the funding 3 years ago.

Anyway, the names are submitted and the guys at the head office do their background check to ensure our selection to staff will work within the guidelines provided by the Federal Internet Security and Tactical Awareness (FISTA). They, in turn, provide us with a list, in decreasing order of preference.

The owners and admins review the list and an invitiation to join staff is sent to the first name on the list. If the member declines, an invite goes out to the next name on the list.

Once you accept, there's a whole new set of steps to ensure the security and safety of our staff and our operation.

Wow. Hopefully the information technologies doesnt lean to hard into social engineering.

But, if the informaiton is out there ....

Perhaps we ATSers serve somewhat as a thinktank, if not for ourselves.

When ATS recieved government funding what were the pre-existing conditions if there were any?

Curious ATSers may want to know.

any links to a contract or does such a contract exist?
How much funding did ATS recieve?

thanks,
john

There are very secretive degrees and levels when becoming a moderator, but through the latest technology, we are now able to decode the secrets.

They are all part of a cult entitled 'The Abovetizians'.

Entry Level Degrees:

1st Degree: TinWiki Editors
2nd Degree: Document Archivists
3rd Degree: Subject Matter Experts

Master Degrees:

4th-15th Degree's are Forum Moderators.

16-27th Degree's are for Super Moderators.

28th Degree: Djarums & 12m8keAll2c

29th Degree: William One Sac

30th Degree: Crackeur

31st Degree: Springer

32nd Degree: SkepticOverlord

33rd Degree: SimonGray (Founder of the Abovetizians).

The 3 highest ranking members are often referred to as 'The Three Amigos', however, we have no written text backing up this claim.

With feuds engulfing the Abovetizians to this very day, it is unclear how long as a civilization they will last. One of the most notable feuds in Abovetizian history is between two of the founding members SkepticOverlord and Springer.

We recently found this out while examining their ancient text written in stone which archaeologists know refer to as 'Public Profiles'.

SkepticOverlord carved this quote in a stone inside The Tomb of Terabithia:

"Pretty much anything written by Springer... can't stand that guy.

which Springer promptly retaliated by carving this in the sarcophagus of King Whatumacallit:

Topics I Dislike: Anything even thought of by SkepticOverlord... .

With over 170,000 followers, and a new environment said to be launched at the end of April, it is unclear who the next member of the Abovetizians will be, all we can do is wait, watch and learn.

Quit trying to take my spot as the next Mod. I know your trying to do.

It isn't a good idea to leave one liners where a bunch of Mods are.

BTW, stop trying to play us down. How do you become a moderator?

Here I always thought is was a test of dedicated research to only be undertaken by the most serious of mind, strongest of heart, uncover the vows of secrecy and determine who it is that buys Intrepid's beer while modding and offer to take their place so effectively and efficiently that he becomes none the wiser that the switch has been made.

Becoming a Super Mod is a completely different test so esoteric that the mind can not fully comprehend the words. And something about being Springer's new alcohol purchaser falls in there somewhere too.
