I know some of you are young and aren't quite aware of this but...2Pac is NOT a veteran Hip Hop artist along the likes of Kurtis Blow, Kool G Rap or KRS.

Let's do it this way...

List 10 of the strongest originators/veterans...

THEN list 10 of the strongest new school second generation artists such as Pac, Biggie and cats like that or your selection of rookies like 50 and G-Unit or Chingy.

Make 2 lists...

VETS & 2ND GEN/ROOKIES

KRS' debuted in 1984 with Scott La Rock and the Celebrity Three. The name was eventually changed to Boogie Down Crew. His first solo release was in 1987.(Criminal Minded 1987)

He's considered a veteran/originator.

2Pac is one of the most charismatic artists Hip Hop had ever seen but he was far from a vet/originator. He would be considered a 2nd generation rapper following the success of rappers like KRS, Kool Herc and Big Daddy Kane. 2nd Generation artists are typically considered artists who came to the forefront of rap during the 90's riding the train the originators laid the tracks for.

The Alchemist isn't considered an old school originator either. He was first introduced in 1993. His beats are fire but that doesn't mean he's a vet. The Wooligans don't count.

G Dubb is a nice beatmaker but once again...not a vet.

If you can provide data that shows G Dubb and The Alchemist are prominent originators of the early Hip Hop movement I'd be happy to review it.
