A common bond
is something found
between two things alike.

A common bond
is common ground
which holds on for dear life.

A tug and pull
brings two souls near
an attraction of all things.

can also bring fear
the decision is for the Kings.

Let loose your grip
from deceiving eyes
the truth is what you seek.

Let loose your grip
of lips that lie
the truth is what you keep.

So stand yourself
on common ground
no need for magic wands.

Your poem described my wife and me to a tee.
I may have read your piece wrong , only you know?
But I took my father for granted and then he died, it is so painful to even think of him six years on unless Iam half drunk, and we held so much common ground, but hey all you see is the faults not the beauty the potential only the faults....until its too late this time around.

I understand your problem.
I know about your tear.
Of pain and shame,
we cannot claim
the one's we hold so dear.

So always hear his music.
And remember the good times.
