One of our own, the infamous, lovable and brilliant ATS Moderator "nefermore" has been working his heart out creating the first, LIVE ATS Internet Radio Station.

Tonight, Saturday 10 April, 2010, the first beta run for public consumption goes live at 7PM Eastern Time (us)/ Midnight GMT.

Click here: www.illustrial.net... tomorrow night and have a listen.

Springer...

You only need SKYPE if you plan on calling in. You do not need SKYPE if you plan on just listening. Just hit play on the player.

This is all mentioned on the

May I ask what the content is going to be, i.e. talk, music, detailed under water basket weaving instructional sessions?

Awesome news.

Five hours of live broadcast is quite an undertaking.

Is there enough material to last the whole duration?

Will there be a dial in number to allow for listener participation?

Its a hybrid system. You'd be suprised.

The technology is held together by bits of string and sticky tape.

Nice move, ATS!

However when I clicked the link it said I didn't have the right plug-in. Would it be possible to make the broadcast QuickTime compatible rather than necessitating a (massive) WM Player download?

Are listeners able to "call-in" or suggest topic ideas via chat room, etc?
Just wondering! Either way, I'll be listenin'.

I might invite myself onto the show to rant on about Area 51

Host: "Caller '15', where are you calling from?"
Caller 15: "A lake bed in Nevada" (spawns X-Files music).
