I need to know if what I am experiencing is normal. I have sinusitus and multiple abscesses of the teeth, the ER put me on Augmentin 875 mg twice a day for fourteen days...today is the third day and I am dying of thirst, been drinking so much water that I can't fit any food in, not that it matters, I couldn't chew it anyway with the teeth being so bad. But even though I am drinking all this water, my lips are dry and cracked, my skin on the face is dry and chapped. I always feel thirsty no matter how much I drink. Is this normal or is it the sign of another problem? Anybody who knows feel free to reply. Much appreciated.

I was on it once or twice in my lifetime.
I don't remember any huge thirst or dehydration.

But now, I never goto the doctors unless I am unable to get out of bed.
Seems like augmentin or amoxycillin are the cure-all.
I don't buy it.

I let my body fight most things naturally and build up its own defenses.
Its amazing what the human body can defeat on its own, with the right vitamins and minerals included in your everyday diet.

Back to the subject.
Here's a few sites about dehydration you might want to read.

(don't mind the kids page...its still useful)

Hope this helps a bit.
