Nothwithstanding the unnecessary language, the moron is demonstrating techniques in a fully functional car on a deserted road in controlled
conditions. Should the 'malfuncion' occur, it is likely other ancillary systems would be affected in a real-world environment. (Traffic, weather
conditions, road conditions, agility of driver etc.) No wonder he conceals his identity.
Kinda like when you are using a computer. You don't reboot if everything is working fine but when it acts buggy, reboot and waalaa. I've heard
that analogy used for some of these problems since the On Board Diagnostics show no errors in system log afterward.
IMO, Toyota is now paying the price for a poor PR damage control job, their sales are down and they have ceased operation in a few plants.
I believe their cars are probably on par with of the other major brands.
Despite this my Mother-In-Law sold hers which brought me to this thread.
(She never takes my advice.)
