Frozen Fetuses Found During Doctor's Office Raid

cbs3.com

Philadelphia and federal authorities who raided a doctor's office after allegations a woman died following an abortion made a shocking discovery: more than two dozen frozen fetuses.

For the second time in four days, Philadelphia Police, along with State Licensing officials and DEA agents, searched the West Philadelphia office of Dr. Kermit Gosnell on Monday.

...investigators recovered more than two dozen fetuses stored in a freezer, some dating back 30 years.

Is there a law against keeping dead babies in your freezer?

I mean, the story is horrific in itself, but has the guy broken any laws by collecting dead babies in his line of work?

Obviously they're dead "babies"... The story says they're going to investigate the possibility that these were late-term abortions (which are illegal).

So, it amounts to this "very good doctor" performing late-term abortions (which is murder) and then freezing the evidence for himself.

Oooo.... What a really bad decision on his part. See, there's no statute of limitations on murder, so this guy has a freezer full of murder victims.

TO BE CONTINUED

Here's an update, from the Associated Press, a day after federal agents raided Dr. Gosnell's abortion clinic in Philadelphia...

Abortion Doctor's License Suspended

Abortion Doctor's License Suspended

Federal agents raided a clinic where abortions are performed and found "deplorable and unsanitary" conditions, including blood on the floor and parts of aborted fetuses in jars, according to the state agency that shut it down and suspended the license of the doctor in charge.

In the order suspending Kermit Gosnell's license, the Pennsylvania Department of State's Board of Medicine said investigators found numerous health and safety risks at Dr. Gosnell's abortion and pain-management clinic.

No criminal charges have been filed. Officials from the Philadelphia district attorney's office, DEA and FBI declined to comment, citing the ongoing probe and a sealed search warrant.

The Women's Medical Society clinic is open during the day, but Dr. Gosnell, 69, does not arrive until somewhere between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. and is the only person with a medical license working there, according to the order.

A clinic employee told investigators that Dr. Gosnell directed her in his absence to conduct gynecological examinations and administer painkillers to patients, the document states.

The temporary suspension of Dr. Gosnell's license follows at least two raids by agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration and the FBI. At the time of one raid -- at 9 p.m. on Feb. 18 -- investigators found the clinic full of patients.

On Nov. 20, the document states, a patient died after being given two separate doses of painkillers plus anesthesia before an abortion.

Very interesting. This AP story, posted a full 24 hours after the "Frozen Fetus" story broke, mentions everything except the two dozen frozen fetuses — possibly the remains of illegal late-term abortions — discovered on the good doctor's premises.

Why do you think such a sensational detail is omitted from an Associated Press story, hm?
