Can anyone (im in London) see what looks to be a huge contrail going from horizon to horizon?

I find it strange because you cant usually see contrails at this time of night, and you can see a clear line across the sky

bit too much cloud here in sussex, well from the limited view from my window anyway...
a contrail at night is probably not going to show up too well in a photo but it might be worth trying to get a few pics?
whereabouts in london?

Can't see contrails at night?

I see them all the time at night. Yes, they are not as frequent later on at night since there are restrictions, but you still get them, especially from high altitude jets.
