Chicano Musicians from 60's&70's

Post some of the greatest Chicano bands that you have ever heard from the 60's 70's era. And for those that don't know what a Chicano is it's basically someone who is born in the United States, but have a Spanish heritage.

Their career was derailed by some curious events.
Poor decision making led to a surrender of copyrights,
with only one original band member
ultimately receiving any royalties.
A diss by Morrison was made about bubblegum pop sucking,
and an untimely arrest for (suspicion of) a decidedly
uncool method of intoxication, which made it into print.

I'm not sure how anyone gets proven guilty for this...but
they were just famous enough to draw fire for it.
