That's ridiculous. This guy gives no information about himself, what division and unit he was assigned to. There is nothing about that so called transcript that gives it any credibility.
These fires were ignited BEFORE any troops got near them. Our Marines were pushing across that desert so fast that they exceeded the expectations of the commanders. Our planes couldn't see through the smoke. Our helicopters had problems seeing through the smoke. The Cobra didn't have laser designators at the time and had to rely on a seperate airplane so they can actually get a target, and even then they were firing blind. Our transport helicopters had no clue where they were going most of the time. So we lose Air superiority and loss of visibilty which could in turn kill many Marines. It also took years to put all those fires our, and millions of dollars.

This sounds like a lot of BS. It just doesn't seem to ring true. Far to vague to be believable.
The fact that they used remote control to detonate the explosive is highly suspect. When dealing with metal stuctures ( especially in the desert ) it is far too dangerous to do this as electrostaic discharge can cause an acccidental detonation. Det-cord is what is used in this situations.

Also the fact that he was part of a group of 30-40 SOF's soldiers from different commands is very strange. It seems whoever this person os has said this to try to add some credibility.
