I was sitting in a Starbucks having coffee by myself a a table for four about two blocks from the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank. These two older guys, in uniforms, came in and asked if they could sit with me because there were not enough other seats. I said sure, and then they just started talking like normal people. Being cordial and curious I asked them how there day was and such and they said they just drove a semi truck containing six billion dollars in cash from some place in Indiana to the Chicago Fed. and had two hours to kill before they had to leave. Then they asked me if there were any museums close enough that they could go to. The only thing I thought they could do in that time that would be interesting would be to visit the miniatures exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago which was only a few blocks away. They were very casual and more like regular guys so I asked how on Earth they could be driving a truck with that kind of money in it without a huge escort of flashing lights. They then told me that everyone thought it was safer if it just went in a plain white semi truck and that's the way they always did it.

Is it even possible to put that amount of cash on a semi truck? Do we have any math people here that could figure that out? I guess it would have to be 100 dollar bills unless there was something else there, but they definitely said cash.

I think it's interesting that nobody here even wants to touch this one, but it's the whole truth. I know, makes me a little freaked too.

I don't think that anyone is afraid of the topic. Personally, I think it is ridiculous. In my opinion it boils down to; either a couple of guys were messing with you or you are messing with us.

For what it is worth, here is a link to show what a billion dollars looks like. From the images, it looks like you could fit it in a semi.

I dont think its the fact that people dont want to respond, I think its the fact that people dont know what it is that you are asking or are not quite sure what the purpose of this thread is.
The title is misleading.
They are just delivery drivers.
And yes, I do believe it is possible, A lot of times companies do this to fool people just like you who wouldnt believe that the white pick-up truck/van /semi that just drove by them contained 6 billion dollars.

Edit- Or it could be like karl said...They might have just been @#@#in with ya.

I'm not messing with anything, this is what happened. If I wanted to fabricate something I would say I were abducted by Aliens and have the ATS world at my feet. My only question is, can you actually fit 6 billion dollars into a semi truck trailer?

"My only question is, can you actually fit 6 billion dollars into a semi truck trailer? "

Of course you could.
I used to work as a shiping and recieving clerk. Those trailors are a lot bigger when you open up the back doors and look inside. You can fit a couple cars in a semi trailor if you wanted.

If you follow the link above you will see that 1 billion probably would not fit into anything less than a semi (as previously stated).

Please note also (no pun intended) that they would be new notes neatly stacked. Used or handled notes would take up more room.

It wasn't one billion dollars, it was six billion dollars.

Sorry, I meant to say 6. My point remains though.

I think they were "having a lend of you".

They weren't though, they were like country folk looking for a place to buy a snow globe for a grandchild and maybe a couple of postcards. They were not trying to put me on. No reason either.

C'mon - I'm male and these were old men, they wanted to know if there was a museum they could see nearby. Nobody was trying to make anyone.

Thanks for the clarification, I was only trying to determine if they were engaged in some "big noting", you have to agree that it does happen.

So, it is perplexing that they admitted their cargo none the less

you absolutely have no real honest knowledge of whether they were putting you on. You cannot know 100% that they were real without seeing the 6bil yourself

I think this whole think is bunk if ya ask me
and no I am not scared of this topic

Man!!You should have pinched their keys!!!(only kidding)
6 big ones,wow.
I guess the truck would have some kind of security measures in it if there was no escort.Paint bombs or something?

Just because they aren't surrounded with flashing lights that announce what they are doing it doesn't mean they didn't have security measures in place.

It wouldn't be that difficult to put on a sensor for the doors if they open that alerts someone, who then by GPS goes to the location. With such a big load, it would take awhile to unload any amount of cash in time. You would have to take the entire trailer or something.

If someone was to take just a smaller quanity, then they would know all the serial numbers of the money, and it could be traced back to whoever used it etc.

I'm pretty sure if someone tried such a thing, the response would be pretty swift/quick and not very nice.

Yes,and I bet they have stealth escorts, unmarked civilian vehicles packed with serious people and serious weapons.
All satellite GPS linked,as you say.
At least thats how I always move my 6billion chunks about the place.

not really.Dreaming.

I wonder what the wage packet is of someone who drives about in these 6billion trucks?Thats got to be preety high I think.
And they must be thouroughly checked out and highy trusted individuals who get to drive such trucks.

A scary job though I bet.You would want a gun at the very least.Along with a pimped truck full of sonic and explosive countermeasures if posssible.

This happens all the time, that cash is distributed between the holding banks. Without any fanfare and anonymously. When this happens there is always security forces who are also incognito traveling along or nearby. Why make a target out of such a huge amount of money?

Your question of whether or not 6 billion in cash would even fit into a standard semi- trailer is ridiculous in the context of ATS!

You might learn more if the thread focused on it's title, rather that the mathematical measurements of semi-trailers vs cash!
