Okay, so maybe you're wondering 'what the hell is Horror Rock?'
Well, I'll tell you.
It's a sub-genre of punk dedicated solely to Horror.
It's actually a nitch community and it's really for Horror fans by Horror fans.
There are a lot of phenomenal bands that I can recommend to you all, and if you're willing to open your mind a little bit, then I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I myself am not a musician, but rather a member of the press.
I work for a group called The World Horror Network, which was put together by a few Horror bands working in tandem and under the umbrella of Dr. Cyclops Records (a small, independent production company out of Salt Lake City, Utah.)
I interview bands, scout new bands and review cd's (all of which can be found up on my myspace, which I won't display here, but can be found with a little looking or a friendly u2u, and through the WHN main boards website.)
We invite all to come and check out some of the music of bands both associated with the network, and otherwise.
Some of the bands, whom are some of my favorites, that I implore you to check out:

DieMonsterDie
Others
Calabrese
The Quintessentials
Stellar Corpses
The Crimson Ghosts
Blitzkid
Balzac
Back To Zero
Under A Nightmare

and tons and tons of others.

I'm hoping to keep this thread alive to be able to provide you all with current updates, information and links so that you may be able to enjoy some of these bands the way we enjoy these bands.

Stay Evil

Ha!
Send More Paramedics!
Yeah, they'd be considered Horror Rock.
Their stuff is pretty rare though.

Is this genre an off shoot of Psychobilly? Sounds similar.

DieMonsterDie!
Nice find.
They actually run the WHN (World Horror Network) and Dr. Cyclops Records, they're my favorite band, plus...they're good friends of mine.
They're f'n awesome and I highly recommend them.

Tiger Army is more punk than anything else.
My friends in Calabrese have played with them a few times.
In fact...here:

And here's a DieMonsterDie video too:

I'm hoping to keep this thread alive because I'd like to turn more people on to this genre, and also to share some of my favorite music with you all.
Enjoy!!

Actually, much of the Horror community is split, many think that the genre started with the Misfits, but there are those who feel that without Alice, few, if any, would have the guts to tread that ground.
