The cat's gone now, but it's a happy ending.

An elderly woman that lives in my building just lost her dog after 16 years. She got the dog after her husband died as a companion.

She's a bit of a hoarder and has a very cluttered apartment, but loved and cared for her dog. When Micky passed away two weeks ago she was devastated.

She called me the other day about the mouse problem she was having and asked if I had any traps.
I showed up at her door with the cat in my arms and vet papers in my pocket.
She's so happy now.

I solved her mouse problem, I solved my problem with an overactive cat, and I helped her get over the loss of her dog.

The cat is happy to be the only center of attention in this new environment with no other cats around.

It worked out for all of us.
