student driver or student driver?

Yesterday I was sitting at an intersection when a public school bus crossing in front of me.

Under such and such county public transportation system a second line was added:

Student Driver

So...


My first thought was: Do we have a new bus driver? Or a driver bussing students?

Maybe you have a new bus driver that is a student at school, but is learning to drive the bus, driving students.

Throw something at the windshield next time and if it stop's, just ask the driver what's up, and tell them that they need to be more specific.

Actually, I would think that advertising a new bus driver would make some parents nervous.
