WASHINGTON – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday called for an immediate resumption of peace talks with Palestinians and pledged more steps to improve economic conditions in Palestinian areas.
Netanyahu reiterated to an assembly of Jewish groups his view that peace negotiations should begin with no preconditions. He made no new proposals on constraining Jewish settlements in the West Bank.

Palestinian officials insist that Israel freeze settlement activity before peace talks resume.

By making these preconditions, they can not go to peace talks and claim, to those stupid enough to buy it, that Israel is not going to peace talks.

He also said Israel is willing to make "great concessions for peace," without sacrificing its security.

Unfortunatly, Israel has made concession before and it has not brought them any peace, concessions are stupid unless both sides make concession.

Netanyahu was scheduled to hold a private meeting this evening at the White House with President Barack Obama.

This will be where Netanyahu says he will agree to most of Obama wants, in return for security.

Isn't it funny.....

When "some members see anything they can spin as negative against Israel, they go large and the post goes 20+ pages.

When their is an announcement of peace talks, nothing.

I guess people can't spin asking for peace talks into anti-israeli
(but their is still time).

It is not funny anymore because everyone is tired of the Nazi Israeli's games. Everyone knows he will not accept any peace treaty, so that's why no replies here. It's a eyewash "AGAIN".

Saw this yesterday. This is what, the fifth time now he's publicly invited Abbas to peace negotiations?

Abbas doesn't want peace talks because he fears a takeover from more radical Palestinians (as if Abbas is moderate!). Radical Palestinians don't want peace talks, because they don't want peace. They want Israel gone. Compromise is not an option.

Incidentally Abbas is threatening to resign next year...

But, of course, Israel is the problem!
