Probably just a moth or something caught in the light..

That is the worst CGI I've ever seen. If it wasn't for YouTube there would not be an outlet for this kind of fluff. Somebody had a good time constructing it and an even better time seeing the reaction to it.

Looks to be suspended on a string and bounced around.

If not someone get that poor thing some new batteries

No doubt your right and I am not a CGI expert, But people always conclude its CGI?

A bit more indepth technical debunking would help to nail this as a hoax

I agree with IsaacKoi's and eaglewingz's opinions:
it's a moth being attracted by some light: the light + the out of focus gave to it the glowing appearance and hidden the details, giving to hit such an amorphic shape:
Here, i post two screen captures from the video and two shots of a flying moth slightly out of focus (1) and really out of focus (2)for comparison:


I vote identified flying moth, but you decide

Did try to break in and use a flashlight to find their way around? That's what it looks like to me. Like there's a hole in the roof and they're shining the flashlight all around the store.

Time for some lessons in flashlight discretion.
