9 students charged in Canóvanas incident

nine high-school students in puerto rico have been charged with assault after authorities accused them of throwing eggs, rocks and sticks at police officers.
The altercation occurred as students sought to protest the recent layoffs of nearly 17,000 government workers. They learned that Gov. Luis Fortuño was attending a function at a neighboring public housing complex.

The government says the layoffs were needed to help reduce a $3.2 billion deficit.

Puerto Rico is competing with california to be the first failed "State" even though it is not officially a state.

There are protests every day at many different places.

This particular incident even had the police bring in automatic weapons into a highschool (WATCH HERE wapa.tv...)

The labor unions are gonna have a general strike where they will attempt to close down the marine and air ports IN AN ISLAND.

TSHTF here already...

Destacó que existen leyes federales que prohiben ese tipo de manifestación.
