Gaddafi: War on Iran would set dangerous precedent

"If we are talking about military action, then the question will be who will take this military action? Who will do it and who has the right to do so?" Gaddafi told the Council on Foreign Relations think-tank in New York on Thursday.

He noted that other countries including India, Pakistan, China, Russia, the US and Israel have atomic weapons.

"All of them have nuclear bombs. Why not take military action against them?" Reuters quoted Gaddafi as saying.

Gaddafi brings up some good points. If we're after nuclear weapons, then why don't we attack some countries that actually have them?

If Iran wanted nuclear weapons, then they would have them already since they have a working nuclear reactor at the Tehran Nuclear Research Center that runs on 20% enriched uranium that they import from Argentina.

Not 3.5% enriched uranium like the stuff that the new reactor would be using, but it uses 20% enriched uranium. So, wouldn't they have nuclear weapons already?

They clearly have rejected nuclear weapons as "un-Islamic", and don't have any, just like Iraq didn't have any.

It's hard to believe folks are going for the same stuff multiple times. It must be like stage hypnosis or something going around...
