All the speculation, fear, bad news, dissent, proposed government intrusions, war talk, etc is analogous to what it must of been like before a
hurricane hit pre-radar times.
You see some ominous clouds start forming, then the wind picks up a little. Waves start rolling onto the beach. Most people don't give it a second
thought.
Then the wind gets a little stronger, waves are higher, people start "feeling" the storm coming but will it be a big one? The fisherman start
coming into port, people start boarding up their windows and take some food & blankets down into the cellars. The community elders are getting
together discussing emergency measures.
This is where we are at right now.
Are we facing a Category 5 or a tropical depression? Without radar we can only prepare and wait it out. Big ones don't hit often but when they do,
it is usually devastating.
