In Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan's second city with its modern buildings and famous Blue Mosque, people are getting restless over the results of the Afghan elections.

I hope that this doesn't come out the wrong way, but as time passes, I start to think more and more that there simply are countries and cultures in the world that can't handle having democracies/republics. I don't understand why, but it just seems that way. Maybe it has to do with people not being able to come to grips that some have a different opinion than oneself?

In this case, if Karzai were losing, his supporters would be gearing up for violence. It's silly.
