NSPD51 and HSPD20, Number Choices Defined

This is my first posting here on ATS.

I tried to find something regarding the naming of the National Security Presidential Directives and their corresponding numbers, but I couldn't come up with anything, so that being said, here is what I find interesting:

I could never wrap my head around the numbers.. Are they so obvious that I missed it? Or are they a random selection? Maybe something else?

We all know about the Bush family ties to the Nazis during WW2. We know the implications and the rumors, but what's not certain is if they really were Nazis.. so to speak. Bearing this in mind, I set out on a quick research of Name and Number correlations...

The German Workers Party was around during 1919, but later envisioned itself with a new purpose and a new name. Come 1920, they changed their name to :

National Socialist German Workers Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) abbreviation and common banner designation.. NSPAD, the Nazis.

So I found that creepy little tidbit. The party that Adolf Hitler infiltrated, joined and later went on to lead and used to topple Germany's government was named NSPAD. They were founded in 1920. HSPD20 ? Homeland.. Fatherland?

Also in 1920, the NSPAD outlined their "25-Point Plan" for a better Germany, 24 points if you don't count the 25th on how to enact the plan. There are 24 points in NSPD51, the rest is classified beyond Annex A.

So that left me with 51.. what's 51? 1951?

In 1951, Harry Truman officially declared an end to the war in Germany on the 24th of October.

An end to the war, but a start of a new era?

Beware that the search function can be deceptive sometimes...So try breaking up a sentence into shorter, keyword searches, and often that will yield better results.

Yeah, I know it's definitely talked about here, but I couldn't find anything regarding the numbers 51 and 20.. figured I'd give my input. Couldn't decide which thread I should necro, so decided to start one.

Do you know of any discussion about the numbers? Or am I missing some glaringly obvious number significance here..?

As far as I am aware, the numbers simply refer to the sequence numbers of similar orders, in their respective legislative bodies. I could be wrong about that though.
