It seems that John Mackey, co-founder and CEO of Whole Foods Market Inc. — green missionary and exemplar of corporate compassion — has riled hard-core reformers by endorsing free-market principles over government-managed health care.

Supporters of Obama’s massive health care overhaul have declared Mackey an apostate (take a number, honey), and are calling for a boycott of his stores.

I think it is amazing to see Americans stand up and speak out for what they believe in. One of the favorite rebuttals of supporters of Obama's healthcare proposal is to say opponents should come up with a plan of thier own if they do not like it instead of just being against it. This guy does that.

It is rediculous that speaking out for something you believe in results in people wanting to boycott your business. Nevermind the fact that this will not only hurt him but can have negative effects on his employees if this boycott does damage to his business.

This just makes me want to shop at Wholefoods more than I already do.

“We are all responsible for our own lives and our own health,” Mackey wrote yesterday in the Wall Street Journal. “We should take that responsibility very seriously and use our freedom to make wise lifestyle choices that will protect our health. Doing so will enrich our lives and will help create a vibrant and sustainable American society.”

We should take that responsibility very seriously and use our freedom and make wise civic and consumer choices that will protect our nation’s health.

Doing so will enrich our civic lives and help create a vibrant and sustainable American society.

That’s why, today, Single Payer Action is calling on all American citizens to boycott Whole Foods

Is this what happens when you disagree with the status quo?

You have to just remember that the goal of the socialist left is to quash all opposing viewpoints to their agenda. To them there is no freedom of speech, except when it is them speaking. This goal has been voiced all the way from the top, the White House.

This is America. We don't have to be responsible for anything, because we can always fall back on the government to support us. If you don't believe this, it just means you're a racist, and that you're a selfish individual not wanting to help your fellow man.

What's sad is that people in the United States actually believe what I just wrote above.
