Florida TV Station Removes Comments On Obama Joker Poster Story

www.infowars.com

In response to overwhelming support for free speech and the campaign to post the Obama as Joker poster far and wide, WFTV in Florida has removed all comments on a story about the poster from its website.

On August 11, the news station ran a report on the poster with accompanying video. “A vocal and graphic Internet campaign attacking President Barack Obama just hit Central Florida and one of its first targets was a U.S. Post Office,” the news station reported. “Several Lake County residents ...

I must say, I don't know where I stand on the poster issue. On the one hand, expressing free speech is good, but the whole concept of spreading around joker posters of Obama with the word "FASCISM" or "SOCIALISM" under it seems...well, it seems like a joke. There should at least be some bullet points under the picture saying what Obama has done wrong. For the sheeple these posters are supposed to be waking up, how is a poster like this going to help?

Yep... more and more Free Speech = Disinformation = manipulation of the masses.

It's crazy, you can say anything, you can even lie like Sarah Palin and hide behind he cause of free speech.

That's like shooting at someone then using a baby as a human shield.

For all of the people who claim to love free speech in this country, a whole lot of them are completely irresponsible with it.

I know more about manipulation of the masses than most people do. Words, syntax, capitalization, sentence structure, etc., can all play a part with people online, and similarly can be said for people in crowds and rallies. This doesn't mean free speech should be restricted because of it. All restricting free speech would do is, instead of having everybody have equal opportunities at manipulating the masses, only those with power would be able. It's bad either way, and bad things must come with the good on this planet.

However, your analogy goes both ways. If you can shoot at somebody and use a baby as a human shield, they can do they same -- both just need to be careful not to shoot the baby.
