Aug. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Costa Rican President Oscar Arias was diagnosed with swine flu, health officials said.
Arias will suspend public duties until his health recovers, the president’s office said today in an e-mailed statement.
The swine flu pandemic has sickened 865 people and caused 28 deaths in Costa Rica, mostly in children under the age of five, according to the Health Ministry.
