The socialist governments of the Soviet Union, Fascist Italy, N. Korea, Cuba, Yugoslavia, and the People's Republic of China employed the same citizen informer techniques. Citizens of those societies were reduced to either silence or whispered discussion only among those they trusted the most. Of course none of those things would ever occur here in the land of the free. But wait...

Now on the White House website posted by Macon Phillips comes an eerily similar request for citizens to inform on their neighbors. It states,

"There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to the end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can't keep track of all of them here at the White House, we're asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to [email protected]."

tHIS IS ALL IT TAKES TO BECOME A SNITCH.

I have told you repeatedly that was how it was in Cuba where i was born. See Cuba and other Communist nations included?
Of course, back then, the head of the committee would have a special telephone number to make the call. Thanks to modern tech, all it takes its an email.

They are making it so easy now. Its all volunteer, of course, but some people have a great thirst for this type of thing.

Expect the Committees later on. Not only is this done to keep people quiet, but it is done to keep people segregated and suspicious of the neighbors who may have one egg they can give you when you're starving. All psychological.

If they want a list of enemies maybe we should give them one. Maybe we should email them with names of all the supporters of this debacle that we encounter?? They are actually the true enemies of this nation. They are the ones that are destroying us from within. These fellow travelers need some of their own medicine and if they only have names of their own choir they will use up all their assets investigating their own!!!

Scary, ain't it? I'm also appalled at the number of congressmen I've seen on the news lately trivializing the many protests as being "rabble rousers" and shills and somehow not indicative of a true sentiment of at least a segment of the population.

No matter how many people get vocal, they'll be spun as a fringe element not worth considering. The people in Washington have for years been totally out of touch with reality. We've finally reached a point where there are enough people willing to introduce them to reality, and I don't think it's going to be pleasant.

We've been on this path for a long time and anyone thinking it's going to have a quick fix is setting themselves up for disappointment.

Does anyone have a digitized copy of the phone book? I'm thinking anyone that still breathes has some issues that might need to be looked in to.
