My local newspaper reviewer thinks this film is Oscar material.
I don't know about that but this movie was very good and never had a moment
that wasn't filled with suspense.

The characters were real as was the local and situations.
The performances by all the principals made you think you were actually there.
The director Kathryn Bigelow was masterful in using the filmmakers tools of editing, timing, story, and top notch actors.
Kris Hedges who also wrote "The Valley of Elah" just told the story of this war without a heavy handed morality play or glorifying the military. The viewer can make his own decision.

Not for children.

This movie will probably become a cult classic if it does not gain more of an audience while it is in theatres. I enjoyed it alot, the concept is top notch but there were aspects that could have been better. The dialogue at the end could have been more meaningful but other than that, grade A flick
