United Breaks Guitars

After Canadian Musician Dave Carroll had a $3500.00 Tayler guitar broken by United Airlines baggage handlers, United then dissed his attempts at compensation for a year, so he wrote a song and took his fight to youtube.
It had 150,000 hit before this CNN report

When United got wind of the "poster boy" for airline complaints, United called HIM and is now trying to make it right.

I have had so many instruments trashed by the airlines; either I carry small ones that can fit in the over head or in the front storage compartment or junkers that aren't really that valuable.

I once had a keyboard taken out of it's case and the airlines said that I was just carrying the case without the contents.

Man, in view of how this caught on, it's inbelievable that no one flagged or starred this thread, so allow me. I think the problem is that you caught it too quickly maybe? Good catch on your part though.
