ZURICH/COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Scientists have established the first case of the new H1N1 influenza strain showing resistance to Tamiflu, the main antiviral flu drug, Danish officials and the manufacturer said on Monday.

I'm a bit confused about this,
Some sources say that Tamiflu doesn't even work against H1N1, others "warn" against it.
Now they say that we could very well see an increase in resistance cases? If the virus is starting to get resistant then Tamiflu did work.... right?

Most people do not realize that Tamiflu is useful ONLY when taken with 48 hours of being infected by the flu. In the vast majority of cases, people don't usually come down with the symptoms soon enough to know what they have and take it in time -- taking it after that period of time is useless.
