A new White House policy on permissible lobbying on economic recovery and stimulus projects has taken a decidedly anti-First Amendment turn. It's a classic illustration of Big Government trying to control every aspect of a particular activity and in the process running up against civil liberty.

I guess the ACLU will get right on this...eh probably not, they are too busy trying to smear Republicans, playing right into the administration's hands. I wasn't sure if this should go in the Politics section, but considering it was a new article and a new statement from the White House I saw fit that it was breaking news. So I guess this administration is not only continuing Bush policies, but also adopting Orwellian ones too.

Lol. They really try to sneak those things in there eh? There's no way they could ever police something like this. Like, "you cannot talk about the way we're spending your money" is something I can still say with honesty that people wont put up with.
