Pirate Bay Bias Reviewer Removed for Bias

www.tomshardware.com

Remember when we reported that the Pirate Bay boys were appealing the decision that the court handed them (jailtime) on the basis that the judge was biased? Well, things have just gotten a little messier.

According to Wired, Judge Ulrika Ihrfelt was assigned to investigate whether the Pirate Bay should be granted a retrial based on accusations that the original trial judge is a member of industry copyright-protection groups that were on the plaintiffs’ side.

While one would assume that things are progressing as they should, Ihrfelt was removed from the investigation amidst allegations that she was also a member of the same organizations that the original judge was a part of.

It’s unclear as to if this development derails the investigation at all, but the court said before that the bias claims would be resolved “in a few weeks at the maximum.”

www.tomshardware.com...

So apparently, we really do live in a Godfather world =p. Right now I'm beginning to doubt the goals of the entertainment industry and what propaganda they spew. I was informed by my professors that if you pirate or plagiarize then you deserve capital punishment... Why would people actually think that these corporations will award you for saving them money.
