Hiya. The other day while waiting for my fiance to pic me up i saw a plane flying across the sky and the typical white trail left behind. I thought i'd get some photos with my phone in case something showed up, (lol). Any way here are the photos :

Can any one tell me what that purple light is?

Thanks, Cherry

I would hazard that's probably an anomaly caused by aiming your phone's built in camera towards the sun. It probably couldn't handle the light intensity.

lol coolies. I've had the phone for about 2 years now so i guess the technology is pretty much obsolete.

Cool pic Cherryduck, if it is an anomoly caused by pointing your camera to the sun's intensity, it does not explain how the light plays in the tree, it is actually twisted inside the leaves, behind them, not over them, so I will not be so quick to dismiss it as just a camera flare.

Yep, definitely some sort of lens effect from the sun, you can see it's coming straight from the middle of the sun.

Lens effect with the sunlight.
If you've ever played with the light spectrum before like in a Physics class or anything, depends on the angle from the lens to the sun and the defraction width in the lens. Different colours of the light spectrum can appear.

Just a random marvel heh.
