So basically it all comes down to Astrology, right?

A lot of the material I have read over the past few years has tended to point to an "astrologico-centric" origin for religion, philosophy, metaphysical systems, secret societies, government...even relatively "lesser" fields like architecture, urban design, civil engineering, and symbology.

The theory seems to be that most of our religious systems are based around the night sky in one way or another, with particular emphasis on the astrological signs and the progression from one astrological "age" to another. For example, it is possible to read the Book of Revelation as basically a tour through the different constellations...the dragon (beast) being draco, the woman being virgo ("clothed in the sun" when the sun rises with that constellation behind it), and so on...then you have all sorts of other biblical and religious imagry derived from the same source, like the pope's hat in the shape of a fish head because we are in the Age of Pisces, etc etc...other religions can also be explained in similar ways. Symbols of government and secret societies, as well as their basic structures and organizations, can also be explained this way, as can stuff like city layouts, road plans, and all kinds of other phenomena.

So it would seem that if there is some sort of "grand unified theory" for metaphyisics, it would lead back to astronomy/astrology. At least that is what an increasing amount of literature seems to suggest.

In years past I looked towards the chakras and the Kundalini as a kind of near-universal organizing principle, but recently so much evidence has come to light that puts the night sky at the center of all man's systems of belief and organizations.

So is astrology/astronomy at the core of belief? Or is it just the ontological flavor of the week?

Absolutly it is. You're on the right path for sure.
The story of Jesus is the story of the sun's journey across the sky throughout the year, stories of Greek gods fighting are stories of movements of the planets, the great cross is the intersecting of the equatoral and ecliptic planes of the galaxy and the sun in our sky, the sun god Ra, the Mayan's basis for their entire civilisation, the list goes on. There is no doubt that all beliefs come from what we've seen in the sky.
Pretty much every story, from every religion and every belief system, relates directly to cosmic movements in our sky.

Someone tell me how to star and flag please.
