Ummm, doing some research on the Catholics an other orders, their power, thie rituals etc. (seems like Rome's still ruling the world using great countries as a front).
Isn't it interesting that some of the rituals, regalia, symbols, etc. seem to resemble that of other orders? eg. the Rosicrucians. Think about it.

I believe a lot of so called secret societies use a lot of church symbolism.

Probably easily incorporated when the groups started to form, easier to recruit when you use symbology that people already know and feel comfortable with.

every religion is a rip off of something else.

this especially true with symbology...

the devils pitchfork is a rip off of poseidons trident- which the catholic church put a spin on, so as to label anyone who believed in pagan gods and goddesses as heretics.

the wise crone's pointed hat is now the same hat we associate with witches.

I used those as my examples, because not only are they in "the da vinci code" so they are fairly recognizable, but they are fact.

every aspect of catholicism is copied from somewhere else.

I'm trying to come up with some more examples. but it's late. and Conan is on.

great post BTW

I have never heard of the Rosicrucians or their rituals. What are they? I am also pretty sure that most secret societies require that you have a belife in God as a requirment for membership, I was told that Masons do. -Muzz

Look for my post that mentions Roshaniya or the Illuminated Ones

I know this is a very minority opinion around here but...
