It's becoming a tradition, they have those riot against police brutality for 10 years or so. It's the occasion for every anarchist and trouble-maker in Montreal to have fun and to pass their message on the news. This year, it is probably bigger because a young man got killed by police a few months ago.

I don't really like the police myself, but this is not really the way of showing it.

Those WERE NOT Riots!!!

Your title - should say "Demonstrations"! There is a Huge difference!

Those people were "peacefully" demonstrating - I saw NO violence from them!

I would like to make that clear.......................

Now, why did the Police have to stop it? Is demonstrating Not allowed?

At least I did not see violence from the police either.

I grew up near Montreal, I went to a lot of peacefull demonstration, this it was not. It's been going on for 13 years, a few social group organize this protest about police brutality, and for 13 years there is a core group of professional agitators that light fires and break windows and cars. Tjis year it was worse because of some tension in parts of Montreal and the killing of Freddy Villaneuva earlier this year.

I'm all for protesting and demonstration but this is not the way to go.

Salute from Quebec
