A South Korean government team is heading for Yemen after four of its citizens were killed in an apparent bomb attack while watching the sunset at a historic desert city.

Two men and two women on a group tour died in Sunday's explosion at Shibam, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Three other Koreans were injured but could walk unaided, a senior ministry official told reporters.

The 11 other members of the tour group were flown to the capital Sanaa on a special plane provided by Yemeni authorities.

"The government expresses deep condolence to the victims and the bereaved families," ministry spokesman Moon Tae-Young said in a statement.

S. Korea seems to be a small player in Afganistan and obviously easily pushed. terrorism is making an effort to get closer to the door step of democracy. they are clearly seeking to target the smaller players in the war on terror.
either their capabilites have been serverely deminished or it is a strategic move to eliminate the pawns before heading toward the larger pieces.
