Major General says president's eligibility needs proof

Once again, where is the "counter proof" that Obama is not eligible to be president. For instance, where's a copy of his Kenyan birth certificate, passport records of his parents, Kenyan hospital records, etc.

VERSUS

"The proof" that Obama has an official certificate of birth from the state of Hawaii along with back up documentation from two Honolulu newspapers that listed his birth with information provided by the state vital statistics bureau.

I was very interested in the "counter proof" until I started investigating "the proof" and I have to say "the proof" is much more solid and evidentuary than the "counter proof" which is mainly heresay and non-official documentation and gossip.

IMHO, this whole thing needs to be put to rest for good! Show me the "counter proof"!

Compare that to the 2000 election where the idiot son won by losing the popular vote 47.9% to 48.4%....not a landslide in anyone's opnion. Not even Rove could steal three in a row. As you are laughing at the quotes, do try to "Get over it." Quote laughing has never reversed an election.
Meanwhile, can we petition for a recall to active duty of that sorry excuse for a general officer? I'd bet that when he is wearing the uniform again, he'll stop mouthing off and follow orders unless he prefers a court-martial to a nice pension. He'd be decommissioned and a "Resident" of a Federal prison. We could probably have a wing of cells dedicated to the "Obama isn't really the President" crowd right next to the "Income taxes are voluntary" cell block.

Anyway, it looks to me nothing more than a rehash of some of the theories that are out there.

I ask again, where is the evidence? All I see and read is hearsay, flimsy assumptions and theories.

Those theories might be interesting to discuss on the web, on blogs and conspiracy sites like ATS but to actually be taken seriously, and in particular if people are trying to be taken seriously by the Courts, there has to be actual evidence to support such claims.

As of now either there is no evidence, or you guys are holding out the good stuff on us.

Pretty well describes the childishness surrounding this subject....

No wonder the poor guy has that little red tag!!!

You know, what really pisses me off is that for eight years we were dealing with fraud, nepotism, conspiracy, profiteering, murder, illegal wars, framing, intimidation, erosion of constitutional rights, erosion of human rights, and now? now these people want to stand up and protest and make law suits and the media is NOW ready to take action against the president.

Here's my issue. The media can shove it because in my opinion they have been cowards or lazy or complicit or a combination of all three. But now we have an issue that ought not be THAT hard to ascertain and people want to draw up law suits. Where were these "concerned" military men when the Bush Admin had total disdain for their loss of life and misuse in an illegal war, propagating a negative image of this nation and soiling all of our good names by association.

Next, to the "so-called" patriots: Please, real patriotism, in my opinion, should actually be humanism. When you are supporting your community (an extension of the family) then you are being a responsible member of society. Simply flag-waving, fearing the "exotic other" (read for "Obama") and believing you have to protect yourself from socialism as though somewhere in the Book of Revelations, universal healthcare and K-12 public education are synonymous with the Beast...I'm lead to believe that if Revelations comes to pass, it won't be Obama, it will be the uber-popular "Conservative/Nationalistic" leader who comes out first against the "evil" Obama and his initiative to socialize this nation. After all, what would Jesus prefer, distributing the fish and loaves among the poor? - or making sure corporate bonuses are limited to only the upper crust? Hmmm...if the former were the preference of true doctrine, then those who practice the latter would probably grasp for straws to make sure all the "sheep" believed they somehow were part of this "in-group" (Thanks, Fox News - convincing the little guy to vote against his best interest since Florida, 2000).

I'm told I was born in California. That's what my certificate of live birth says, anyway....I don't remember much, I was a bit young at the time.

However, imagine I was actually born in Cairo, and magically transported (in 1957) half way 'round the World iun less than a day.

Then, of course...my nationality, my Passport, all would be in question.

Of course, had I been born in the country of Panama, then I'd certainly be eligible to be President!!! Makes sense to me!

Yes, on a military base. Congress signed a non-binding agreement that declared he was eligible for the presidency in April of last year.

It's not what is on his school records from Indonesia, it's that he was able to attend there at all. Apparently Indonesian law, at least at the time, was that you had to be an Indonesian citizen to attend and the only way for him to have been one was for him to not have had US citizenship since Indonesia did not allow dual-citizenship. I have tried to find the relevant laws from Indonesia, but they were unavailable online at the time. I have only found them referenced in the lawsuits that have been filed, so I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the claim.

I do hope you are being sarcastic there. Many Democrats didn't show much class when they were bashing Bush for the last 8 years. And I say this as someone who is neither Democrat nor Republican. Class is not something that goes hand in hand with political affiliation, most of the time it's quite the opposite.

I would not look too hard for Indonesian laws. His attendance at school may only prove that the laws about school eligibility are not strictly enforced or that local Indonesian officials can look the other way when paid.
All the documentation points to the legitimacy of his presidency.

A bit more class? Like what is class? Cheating on wives seems to be the classiest thing they do. Oh and by the way, it was the democrats bitching about McCain's vaulted BC that resulted in a full investigation where he then produced his vaulted bc without delay.

You may be right about his school attendance. However, there is just as good of a chance that the laws are and were strictly enforced. This is one of the reasons I wish the courts would just hear and decide on a case already. While I believe he most likely was born in Hawaii, there are just too many unanswered questions and allegations that I fully believe will have to be answered eventually if he is to have any hope of gaining the support of the entire country. The truth always has a way of coming out so there's not much sense in putting it off or in fighting against it's release. The longer he fights it the guiltier he will appear regardless of whether he really is hiding something or not.
