The ease of hand-outs and the heartbreak of my life.

Holding up your families dirty laundry (if you’ll forgive that of me) for the public to scrutinize doesn’t sound like it came easily from you, a doctor, a responsible individual, and at the end of the day also a sister.
I’m not sure what you’re looking for, or, what you need at this moment.
Support, you’ve got that.
Sympathy, you’ve got that to.
Recognition that you’re not a skanky leach and you’ve risen above the slug-a-bed masses to better yourself, and in return giving to the community around you?
Well, you’ve got that too.
I salute you really.
I ate dog food when I was young, but I didn’t take public assistance.
Am I proud of that?
Probably at least as proud as you are of your job.
My job was staying alive without hurting those around me, or taking where someone else needed.
So, sister, good on you.
Hang in there with your Bro, it can’t be easy for him, though I don’t make excuses for him as you don’t either.
I don’t think things are going to get better before worse in his department so just hang on.
And think about turning him in.
I would.
He’ll be better for it and you know that.
Cutting out the cancer hurts, but what happens after?

Still curious, sure handouts and welfare is "easy" but is there anyone out their that would quit their jobs and go that route given the choice? I think a huge majority would rather work, guess I'll have to do an anonymous survey lol.
