This story has it ALL! From porcine hallucinations, to flames shooting out of the ground, mysterious booms, and even mention of ghosts and aliens, though the latter was discarded.

The people of Bethany, Pa. felt an earthquake over two hours before it happened.

This short article has something for everybody in ATS.

Now that was an interesting story. I am unclear about the light and the flames. did they see a light and then flames shot up into the sky?

Well one thing's for sure. It did not travel up the fault line.

The earthquake Monday night in NJ happened at 10:30 pm or so.

This event happened according to her at around 7 pm in Bethany, PA. It is extremely unlikely the two events had anything to do with each other.

Here, this about sums it up:

The sequence is indeed unclear. She mentions the light closer to the beginning of the article; but, later she mentions the two together in a sentence which if structured chronologically, would imply the fire first, then the light.

Your guess is as good as mine.

The town seems a good place for a fiction novel, if nothing else!

According to the Wayne Independent's website, the light came from someone burning rubbish. Yeah, some people in that area can be a little "off"
