Colours in the Sky, page 1

i've just seen some colours in the sky that look like a rainbow except it's not a rainbow. Have any ideas to what it is?

perhaps its your sight that has changed, I think this is documented in a book called, the colour blue although i never read it myself

Looks like the colors that were visible in China just before the quake.

Its got nothing to do with earthquakes. Its an atmospheric phenomenen known as iridescence or irisation, which occurs when sunlight is diffracted and refracted off water droplets or ice crystals in the upper atmosphere
