Scientists have developed a computer game called “Gorge” – designed to help children understand artificial intelligence through play, and even to change it. It can also improve the children’s social interaction skills.

Is this worrying??

Children learning how to handle and deal with artificial intelligence. Are we trying to get them ready for something??

they can observe what sort of behavioral patterns the artificially intelligent machine develops, whether its actions are more aggressive or more defensive.

I'm totaly blank on this and can't make up my mind wether this is a good thing or a bad thing??

One can't write an artificial intelegence program, it has to be "grown". Having a true AI play with children and learn as a child helps the AI interact with human beings. Later on down the line as this AI has grown a personality it will learn more and more.

Just worry about the rebellious "teenager" AI that decides to hang out all day and download porn.

I think it's more allong the lines of getting the AI ready for something rather than the children.

Well yes of course, ready for Artificial Intelligence! It is a bigger reality we have in the future, it's no big secret.
